OK i really earned my DSM points trying to get this damn thing on. I'm sure it would have bolted up fine but not with my 02 dump and for the fact that it was about 2 inch short. So to make a long story short (12pm-4pm job). I got a new pipe made for the exhaust to connect to cat-back but then i get home and thats when i found out it was hitting 02dump. So i used my dads bench grinder to shave some of the flange (only needed little off). Finally, new gasket , kill it with RTV and pushed that puppy on (was tight) . Now i could fit the socket around the top bolt but the bottom i used open end 3/4 wrench. Now i don't think it is as tight as i would like it to be (although i have a tendency's to over torque, http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=173673 ) I took car out and the boost was perfect. Now if the DP was leaking what sign would i get ? I just want to make sure its on there tight enough and find out how to do it. Thanks !

P.S
So now i have the the full 3" exhaust and the greddy Type-S (installed today).
The exhaust sounds mean as hell and the bov , BAD AZZ :thumb:

All you would notice would be some exhaust leakage. Since the downpipe is past the o2 housing your turbo wouldn't really be effected. Just start the car and get down by the dp and listen for any exhaust leaks. Or just get a spray bottle with some soapy water and spray it. Usually you can hear an exhaust leak pretty good though.
I actually have an exhaust leak I need to fix right now but it's back past the down pipe, and with my body kit on it's kinda hard to get at.

Anyway, Good luck

yea you will be able to hear the leak unless its a very small one. After a few weeks lift the car and look at where you think you didn't tighten it enough, see if there is any black carbon build up around the gasket that wasnt already there.
