mechanic axle/tranny problem

Hi, back in december I had my car taken into the shop and they put on a new axle well after they put it on it caused my transmission to leak fluid. When i took it back they replaced the axle for free but didn't do anything about the leak and just refilled it with fluid. I was wondering if the transmission did go out on my car caused by this leak could I make them obligated to repair it since it was there fault that it was caused by their error. Any info would be appriciated thanks.

Maybe, but since your aware of the issue if you don't take steps to get it taken care of it's your fault too.

Is it a fwd or awd? And where is it leaking from? And yes they are obligated as long as you know for sure that the car didn't leak prior them working on it.

This just happened to me, i brought the car to cottmanand they pulled the same bs

-they take ur transpan off
-break the gasket seal
-dont replace it with a new one(anyone who knows what they are doing and isnt a con artist does this)
-and let you drive away knowing that your oil will leak out so that you can get towed back to their shop and charge you for more damages youve caused



--->take your car to a tranny shop, or anyone who knows how to remove the pan, and take it off, put a brand new gasket on their so it fills up yoour hole, put pan back on, and then refill with fluid. If you contine to leak then you have a broken line perhapps or an actual hole in the pan.

My Car is a fwd. I'm not sure where the leak is coming from because I haven't had time to actually look at it with the crazy winter weather we have here.
