Lmao at this sky ### the answer i gave him was completely based off reading over this site, including that thread, considering my car is still mostly stock. Nobody wants to read and research. Just want the answer spoon fed

OP, you would get better answers if your profile was filled out.

What fuel pump are you running? Probably should find out what size injectors you are running..

Also, you should get a W/B o2

okay my set up is 16g turbo, 255 walbro fuel pump, aftermarket boost gauge, stock ecu, and stock injectors. whats the most boost i can push before i get fuel cut or need to upgrade injectors?

Hey Guys so I've been doing my research as well as talking to some mechanics. And i have read that i should have my turbo psi up to 16-17 safely.? and my mechanic told me to keep it at 11.? so mayybe you guyus can help me.

i have: Manual Boost Control, catback 3', short ram intake, Hks BOV (atmosphere).

listed mods just in case that has anything to do with the PSI.
once again thanks for your help because this might be a NEWBIE question. LOL :coy:

On the stock turbo efficiently & safely u can only turn up the boost to 15 psi and that T25 turbo won't be efficient past that. Also recircalate that blow off valve .

I agree with them ^^ as well... You really should just leave it where its at for the moment until you get something to tune with... Thats what pretty much everyone says and im gonna wait till I get Link to mess with mine. And yes recirculate that bov

OKay thanks for the info. So i guess i will definately swith to Recircuation BOV. LOL
so i should wait to tune it, to up the PSI then?

I think we should get a list of what youre expecting out of the car first. Just nice sound? quick spool? high hp? That will allow us to tell you what to do next. t25 is enough for some... others need HX40s ;)

Go ahead and change it out with a 50trim and supporting mods :) 30lbs of boost= 500+ hp :D

But yeah, anything past 15lbs on a t25 is doing more bad than good. And if you run all stock you will get whiplash at about 18psi. So just run a line from the wastegate to the j pipe and get a solid 12lbs.

I'm trying to get more of a quicker spool because right now when i shift it laggs to spool back up. Will the recirculating BOV help with that when im shifting gears?

The lag is because you have a fmic with a t25. The front mount is only hurting performance at this point.

id upgrade the turbo... if you still want the stock look.. id go big t-28.. with the big t-28 the fmic will work just fine and you can run safely 20psi on stock internals..

I had a big t-28 with fmic running at 23 psi max.. handled great.. boosted great.. spooled fast... could break the tires loose in 3rd even at 40-45 mph..

just my 2 cents..

Keep the fmic you have. The fmic is ment to handle a bigger turbo, the t25 was never ment for a big fmic.
If your looking for a quick spool up and more power look into buying a 16g turbo or even a 14b. Awesome turbos for pretty cheap.
I made good streetable power on a 16g at 18psi. And it spooled very quick. ;)

What rpm are you seeing full boost? The t25 should feel almost instant. You may have a boost leak. The bov being vented certainly doesn't help the situation. It causes an excessively rich mix that hurts power. Recirc that as soon as possible.

15psi should be just fine on the stock set up. But you should invest in a tuner like dsmlink before upgrading to a larger turbo.

I dont know if it was stated in the thread any where if so sorry for the repition.

This Question of "How much boost can I run?" isn't very good question because the amount of boost an engine can take is dependant apon the other mods of the car.
A stock 4g63 should take 400 crank horse before spilling it guts out if everything is tuned corectly.
The other very imporant piece of Info left out in this is how important a WideBand O2 Lambda gauge is. The higher the number the leaner you are. A turbo car like most of ours should run at not 14.7 like many say but 13.7 at idle and 10.4-12.7 at WOT because Boost needs more fuel.

But before any of that can happen make sure you have a fresh timing belt, and clean fluids (trany, rear dif, transfure case, rad, ect). Get your mantance done first then go fast other wise you gonna hate your dsm a few months.

Hi All!
I was wondering what is the safe boost you all would reccomend for the mods I have. I have a k&n air filter, exhaust, maf-t, 680cc injectors, fmic, greddy bov, stock turbo, stock ecu, boost gauge, oil pressure gauge, and wideband a/f gauge. Thanks everyone!
