currently doing a 700+ build on my dsm.

1. max safe hp of stock crank,
2. i currently have a eagle crank that i was gonna use for the build, i herd they crack, should i use it?

Safe? Crankshafts have failed at stock power levels.

Stock crankshafts have been used to make a metric ass-ton of power in good setups.

700HP wouldn't concern me at all so long as it is a good crank. I use one at 900+HP.

If you have the Eagle, why not use it?

i spoke to boostin performance and they told me that stock is better then eagel, i said why they replied eagle will crack under that much power, my car is a 99 eclipse gsx auto that a guy took very good care of, so i can imagine the crank is fine, but if anything im gonna go with either stock crank or a billet crank.

When it comes to stuff like this everyone has a different opinion. I used an eagle crank for my fully built stroker. I haven't used it yet but the shop that assembled my motor said no such thing. He builds cars of all types and he's very blunt so I'm sure he would have told me eagle cranks are known to crack.

most people will tell you it's all about the tune. You can destroy the best made parts with a bad tune. Jacks transmissions says leave the balance shafts in and everyone else swears by removing them. some people love Brian crower and a bunch hate them.

I would use the eagle and move on with your build.

To be fair, most machine shops aren't building engines that routinely make 200+ hp per cylinder.

That being said, the only cranks I've seen have more than the oddball failure are the 6-bolt oem 100mm stroke cranks.
