Im about to replace the master and slave cylinder on my car, but im not to good when it comes to working on cars, i did a search on it but could not find any working websites that would explain how to change them.
Can anyone give me links to instructions on how to install the master and slave cylinder?
thank you.

it's pretty basic. to replace your master cylinder you'll have to unbolt it from the firewall and rebolt the new one back on. the master cylinder has one bolt coming from it, and one hole for a bolt. it mates to the clutch pedal assembly through the firewall. think of the master cylinder and the clutch pedal assembly as the bread, and the firewall is the meat for your sandwhich :p

for the slave, loosen and remove the two long bolts that hold it to the bell housing. you'll want to get underneath the car for this. then bolt on the new one. really basic. make sure to remove the little restrictor valve inside the slave for some nicer pedal action.

also remember to bleed the clutch line at the slave cylinder, and fill up your reservoir with DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid.

So by removing this restrictor... will this stop the clutch pump up action that I get anytime I try to adjust the damn clutch peddle? I mean sometimes I have it near the sweet spot, shift'n good son!! Only to have it pump up hard and start slipping! It's a pain!!

Thanks in advance!!!!!! :dsm:

it just frees up the path for the clutch fluid so it's a little nicer pedal feel. the restrictor's hole is really tiny actually, and it's amazing the damn thing is even in there. it's a little spring and plastic triangle thingy found under the banjo bolt. in this picture it's already removed, just showing you where it is.
