After manual swapping my 1999 eclipse gs I have no idea how to wire the VSS and id like my speedometer to work, Supposedly I can use a
yellow wire, black wire green stripe, and yellow wire white stripe from the ECU since that's whats on the plug for the sensor but it seems like they go to important places like the map sensor. please help me

VSS black/green goes to Jumper Connector (J/C 3) (pin 11 on connector A-82) which distributes to 9 other circuits in that Jumper Connector.

VSS yellow goes to Jumper Connector (J/C 4) (pin 11 on connector A-83) which distributes to 3 other circuits in that Jumper Connector.

VSS yellow/white, assuming a MT, goes to PCM pin 66, the Speedo (C-05 pin 36), and data link connector pin 14.

You COULD just get a full M/T harness and save work on both ends. But I'm sure finding one- in good shape, is not easy.

If you want the car to seem as a correct M/T model, swap the cluster too. The tach redline and max reading differs. If using a M/T ecu then you will now have a rev limiter of 7200 rpm instead the of approximately 6800 rpm for the autos.

I’ve got the manual ecu but I want to know if I can adapt my auto harness for the manual VSS, and about the speedometer I really like the oem gauge cluster because I get to watch the tach needle go past redline
