Hey guys I have a 97 GST....i got it from this kid and he had a MBC already installed but the car was boosting like 20 peak and would hold 17 strong all day long but i wanted to turn the boost down. I went to turn the boost down and no matter which way i turn the adjustment knob and no matter how much i turn it, there is no change in my boost....am i doing something wrong? could the MBC be installed wrong? which way do you have to turn the knob to lower the boost? please help im stumped!! it seems as though it is installed correctly but im really confused  ....thanks for the help!

What kind of MBC is it? Home-made from Home Depot? Or brand name? Is it a bleeder type MBC? You definately need to look through this link. There is even a picture provided by myself to help the noobs out.

I assume you tried backing the adjustable knob all the way out (so that the boost levels would be extremely low). What has happened here?

on mine you turn the bolt out or loosen it to lower the boost

What I think Mike is trying to say is that to lower the boost level (actually, to lower the tension on the ball and spring) you want to turn the knob counter-clockwise. To raise the boost level, turn the knob clockwise.
