Magnus and MDF

I put on the magnus manifold and ever since I been having misfires. My MDF is not hooked up and of course I get the 1400 code.

Does this need to be hooked up, and will it fix my misfires? Thanks

I highly doubt that this is the source of your misfire. I believe that this sensor is only there to check whether the EGR is functioning properly, but I'm not sure. When I did my 1g head swap I just left the sensor plugged in but dangling there in the valley of the manifold.

Correct. You get a code but thats DEFINITELY not your problem.

For future reference, its MDP (Manifold Differential Pressure sensor).

Are you using Iridium plugs or cheap plug wires?

99% of all mis-fire problems are crappy plugs or plug wires. And most guys say they are just fine thanks I checked them. And still get mis-fires. AFter weeks of headaches they finally listen and buy new plugs and wires and surprisingly it fixes the problem...

What plugs and wires do you recommend? Is there already a post on what is recommended for each type of application?

Get some ngk plugs and MSD or Magnacore wires. The NGK plug number you want is BPR6ES, or if your running high boost go with a little bit of a colder plug, those would be BPR7ES.

BPR7ES are fine, and a new set of plug wires will work good, I have Magnacore. Just keep your spark plug wells dry...

PO1400 is the correct code to expect, however you shouldn't feel a misfire like others said. I'm going to make a block with a vacuum nipple on it and a hole that runs through it with a spot to mount the sensor and see if that keeps mine from throwing the code.
