i was just wondering for an upgraded MAF setup do you need to run the maf-t gen 2 or the pro? or can you just use the dsm maf translator with the GM MAS? i tried searching for this question but found nothing. sorry new to turbo aspirated cars. thanks!

ok im doing my research and i see most setups are running after the BOV correct? is it also possible to run it before? dejon sales a intake that allows you to upgrade the mas to 3" or whatever size so im guessing you can run it like that as well. which way is more effective?

NVM guys i found the answer. LOL

You can run it two ways - blow thru or draw thru.

Blow thru is as you see in my picture. It has to be there. No questions.

Draw thru would be replacing the stock MAS with the GM MAF. So it would be on the end of the intake pipe just as the stock unit is. The one difference with this is you can't vent your bov with this setup.

One advantage of blow thru that I like is if you pop off or break a coupling you can still drive your car home if you have to.

thanks for all your help. i guess now what it comes too is the pricing. however i believe i will be going with the blow through set up. wish me luck. I FELL DEEP IN LOVE WITH DSM's but very expensive. LOL

if you don't have a SAFC yet then you might want to look into at least the gen2. it is like having both a SAFC and a translator built into one. i ran one in my car for a while, easy enough to set up and tune... and i know where you can get a full setup for a pretty good price too.

did you need any custom piping to connect it to the UICP? right now i have a short route blow thru setup but im afraid it wont fit a short route FMIC im looking at. got any suggestions? thanks!
