So a while back I hit a curb and dented my rim and it pushed everything back. Obviously my lower control arm was mangled. I replaced it with one from the junkyard and put it back together. Well I noticed that my wheel sits funny, I thought maybe it was just the rim I put on was bent, but it wasn't that. The wheel sits like this: / I think that's positive camber? Well I have stock suspension and stock wheel on there.
So what my question is, is there a difference in control arms between 90, 91 and 92-94? My car is a 92 but I think I took a control arm off of a 90 or 91. Also I don't think it was awd, but my car is. So is there something else that could be wrong or is it just that the control arm isn't long enough? Thanks.

Oh ya, I can get pictures if you need.

There is no difference in rear lower control arms between 1990-1994 on AWD turbo models. As well, it would have to be an AWD it was taken off of because the rear suspension is totally different on FWD 1G's.

You more than likely have more damage than just a bent control arm. Better get it checked out or look for more damaged parts.

Ok I think I should clarify some more. This is on the front driver side wheel. Also I had looked at the tie rods and they look ok, the outer cv boot got a little messed up but it's fine, that's the only other problem I could find.

My best guess would be that the steering knuckle got bent also. It seems unlikely that the subframe got tweaked but, that seems like another place to look, barring some deeper kind of frame damage. Not much else going on under the front of a 1g.

And yes, all 1g front control arms are dimensionally the same.

My bad on assuming the rear....long day yesterday.

I also agree with Jim on the circumstances. How is the upper shock mount? Any metal distortion? Crossmember tweeked?

The steering knuckle is pretty darn strong since it is cast vs. the press-steel lower control arm, but it is always possible to be damaged.

By upper shock mount you mean the strut tower where the shock bolts in? I haven't noticed any distortion or a crinkle in the metal. It seems unlikely but could the shock itself but it that possibilty.

If it was the shock itself, it would likely be at the lower mount section.

Either way, I would really recommend taking your time and thoroughly inspecting every part for damage, distortion, etc.

Ok so I got my car back a few days ago from the shop. I had some piping done and it took way to long. I inspected everything again and I can't really see anything out of the ordinary besides my wheel not being straight. The rear bushing in the lower control arm didn't look to great, but besides that I couldn't see anything out of the normal.
Could the tie rod be too far out and that's what is causing this?
Also this is positive camber correct when the top of the wheel is farther from the car then the bottom? The reverse of what happens when you lower the car (maybe I should do that LOL).
