Anyone running a lowdoller 5bar map sensor. I can't seem to get mine to work correctly. What do you guys have it set at?

So I went into some detail here :

This is a plot of actual recorded values VS advertised specs.

For a cheap EBay 4 bar. Basically just proving the sensor works purdy good.

That’s my experience with cheap MAP sensors, I verify them and run them.

Could you elaborate what you mean by “setting / scaling them”.

Sorry I should have been for clear. I'm having trouble with my user defined values. What I think should be used doesn't seem to work for min. And psi/volt.

So selecting a min and max for the straight line. Well if you don’t know, you can find your answer by doing the test they way I did. Use a tire gauge and use air to pressurize the sensor. Start with normal no pressure then record the voltage using a multimeter and Measure 20 30 40 ect psi while you do this.

Then get a vacum pump and connect it to sensor and aim for your idle engine value and record raw voltage

Once you do this you have made your own table and that’s what you put into user define.

But more than likely your results will be near identical to the provided table for your MAP. So then what’s the issue link doesn’t match what some other device measures ?

Note the higher the PSI bar MAP sensor the less accurate they are at the low end .

I just can't get the car to idle correctly. I have to adjust the PSI/volt way down. Its scale is very close to the aem 5bar. I have to set it at around 12psi/volt vs 18psi/volt which is what it should be at just to get a really rich idle. I was wondering if anyone else was running the same Lowdoller Motorsport sensor.

I use it in my Mustang to datalog boost. I use the AEM 5 bar MAP sensor settings (in HP Tuners) and it is almost dead on. Maybe +/-1 psi off which is close enough. I like @miliman13's idea of self scaling.

Only needed if you are running over 42 + psi. I hit the limit on my AEM 4 bar but am happy so I am not installing the 5 bar unit I have. (Yet  )
