if there any way other than using a full stand-alone to remove the MAS and install a MAP sensor to get your intake readings? such as a translator similar to the GM/MAFT set up?

I'm considering a few things- MAFT with Keydiver and logger or DSMLink, but i really like the idea of getting the MAS out of the engine all together, and DSM link still uses the 2G MAS.

is there any type of translator that allows the plug from the MAS sensor to plug into a MAP sensor and run it right into either the IC piping or the intake mani?

I'm looking to do this for accuracy and cleanliness in the engine bay.

pertinant mod list: Magnus Intake, 60 trim, 264/272 cams, 255 walbro, 660 densos (will be 720's soon), full 3" exhaust, tubular ex. mani.

thanks for any info. or other suggestions.

did a little digging- looks like DSMLink has a new feature that allows you to have a cut off point where the ECU stops getting readings from the MAS and calculates based off air pressure.

maybe they're pretty close to integrating a MAP sensor into their package. :)

MAFs are more accurate than MAPs -- however they(even if only slightly) impede airflow.

Emanage will do the same as DSMLink where it will clamp a karmann value to whatever you want it to and run off a MAP sensor and add IPW independently.

However, just like DSMLink you will still need a MAF.

There is someone that has been working on a speed-density chip without the need for a MAFT Pro or VPC.

However, to fully convert to speed-density you need to run a VPC, MAFT Pro, or Standalone.. those are your only opitions...

or drive a honduh

so extremepsi has a maft pro which aLLOWS THE USE OF A mAP SENSOR..

so..wouldnt map be the way to go?since most stand alones use a Map instead of a MAF?

does the Maft pro change MAPS depending on the MAP signal?

has someone bought this new thing?

i cant get dsmlink cause i got an immobilizer and its coded with the ECU,so changing the ecu on my ride is a PITA ..getting the ECU code and Immobilyer codes involve calling mitsu.. mitsu wont hand out the wiring to the immobilizer setup (*chip in key too) ..so DSMlink is not an option for me

i have a safc and a wideband..i need more tuning tho

deit..so how is the ecu going to see the map signal..it would then just be another manipulated maf signal..wouldnt it?
