Low RPM knock

Just got a logger (nice having a wife that knows just what to get ya). I would post my logs but I cant yet due to my computers are to new for the palm to hotsync to. But in 4th-5th gears under accel. not real hard mind you I sometimes am getting lots of knock at 1 point it hit 43 counts. Is this phantom knock or is something wrong? Just tonight I logged 14 counts RPM 2125, INJD 7.0%, o2-r 0.66, TIMA 26*,INJP 4.3ms, FTRL 100%, FTRM 100%, FTRH 100%, FTO2 157%, mafs 188Hz, MAP -0.2psi, EGT 31, FUEL 28.4psi, WBO2 72. Thats the info I have any input or a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Jeff

I know thats not a lot of info. for a log but how does it look ? Touch lean?

my wbo2 show diferent scale like 14.7 on idle when i cruising like 13.4 to 14.3 maybe u run lean

your fuel trims are dead on, if you dont have a wideband then that number doesnt mean anything. map,fuel,and egt dont apply to a 1g unless you have added a map sensor , at any rate i would check around under the car and see if your exhaust is hitting or rubbing anything under there. i had a situation where my downpipe was hitting the transfer case when i jumped on it and was causing bad phantom knock. noisy lifters etc... when you are sitting at idle snap the throttle and see if you get knock, if so then it is phantom knock. also run at least 93 octane and the only octane booster that i know of that actually will raise 93 to 98 is lucas 3x. what is your boost at? you could be leaning out if it is too high.

Hmmm, it shouldnt madder how new your computer is too hotsync unless you dont have a serial port.

Anyways a good test is to sit at idle and rev the motor in neutral. Watch the knock sum and if you get a lot of it then you most likely have phantom knock.

I dont have a serial port but I am working on being able to post logs. I have gone thru and checked to make sure everything is tight not hitting anything tripple checked timing always run 93 oct. lifters are a little noisey. Boost leak test I found a bad o-ring on the biss and replaced it. I do have urethane mounts. Could the knock sensor be bad? I just logged 43 counts of knock @ 1980-2100 rpm when I went back and looked @ the log it showed it had been @ 43 counts for some time the line went up and stayed there for a while this was @ cruise so I didnt pay alot of attention to the logger. Im stumped could phantom knock be this bad? I did a comp. test #1-140 #2-135 #3-135 #4-145 all within service limits. The maf is hacked BCS restrictor is pulled running 14psi of boost fuel pump rewired. Thanks for the help so far. Keep the info. comeing. I did do a lot of searching on knock and found most post were on cars more modded than mine. Thanks again. For got to add that this is not consistant and rarely knocks under boost. It will occasionaly have between2-8 counts of knock if I free rev.

id lean more towards phantom knock. somthing must be hitting under normal driving conditions.
