 Why am I getting knock at low rpms without even gettin on it, just driving normal and it knocks..??? For instance; taking off from a stop sign, not everytime, but alot... It will knock up to 40 counts while taking off normal. I can push the cluctch in and rev it up a little, then put it back in gear and floor it and it will not knock. I have no idea???

I believe that is phantom knock. I am experiencing the same deal right now and I believe it maybe somethings that I installed in my engine bay that I didn't secure properly.

Do a search for phantom knock.

I dont know if it phantom knock, cause I can feel it.. I know when its doing it without lookin at my data logger... It does it when the ac is on also.... Or even when I am cruising down the hwy and decide to give it a little gas.. Not a lot just a little

The reason you feel it is because it is retarding your timing to save your motor. Check you knock sensor for "goo". It might be time for a new one. If you do replace it make sure that you do not over tighten it and make it to sensitive. If you still get phantom knock after replacing your knock sensor the only real way to eliminate it is to get a chip that eliminates it all together or DSMlink.

I recently put my engine back together about two months ago and I had to replace the knock sensor. They just had to put in the best spot, huh? You said to "save my motor". What kind of damage can occur when your barley giving it any gas. Kinda like driving with a a cup of coffee over your crotch...ya probably dont want to spill it..

Because the knock sensor is obviously seeing knock, So from that information it tells your ECU to retard the timing "thus trying to save the motor".

check to see if the sensor is to tight thus making it too sensitive. It will make the knock sensor actually think it's seeing more knock then it is. Also do as Andy has stated and check your Base timing. If none of this works looks like your gonna have to get dsmlink or a custom ecu (keydiver or TMO).
