Hey everybody,
I'm having some problems with my 90 Eagle Talon TSI. When I first bought the car it would not start so I replaced the caps in the ECU (good way to get a cheap car :) ). Anyway it ran perfect for quite a while. Now the clutch is going out, but more importantly, when I give any more than the slightest pressure on the gas pedal the car shakes real bad and does not want to accelerate. There seems to be a point though, if I press it to the floor it will hesitate for a little more, then some kind of breakthrough point occurs where it runs perfectly again.
I am at college right now but I am going home this weekend and would like a list of stuff to check, how to check it, and what order to check things in.
I am kinda thinking maybe coil pack, fuel pump, or even a clogged fuel injector or something? Do you think one of these things could explain the "breakthrough point"?

Thanks so much for your help,
Jeff

have you checked the plugs?
might want to replace them either way, they're all of $1-2 a piece. you want NGK brp6es plugs and i suggest accel plug wires at the same time, just to eliminate them.
