Hey everybody,
I'm having some problems with my 90 Eagle Talon TSI. When I first bought the car it would not start so I replaced the caps in the ECU (good way to get a cheap car
). Anyway it ran perfect for quite a while. Now the clutch is going out, but more importantly, when I give any more than the slightest pressure on the gas pedal the car shakes real bad and does not want to accelerate. There seems to be a point though, if I press it to the floor it will hesitate for a little more, then some kind of breakthrough point occurs where it runs perfectly again.
I am at college right now but I am going home this weekend and would like a list of stuff to check, how to check it, and what order to check things in.
I am kinda thinking maybe coil pack, fuel pump, or even a clogged fuel injector or something? Do you think one of these things could explain the "breakthrough point"?
Thanks so much for your help,
Jeff
