Did you change the oil?

I always remembered when my lifters started making noise it was about time to change the oil. Same thing happens on my car now, and Im sure the same signs will persist when I have my eclipse running again.

fully rebuilt motor not even 300 miles on it?!?!??!

Thats an even better reason to change the oil. You said the car was sitting for a couple of months. Odds are, oil has drained out of the valve cover, and because the oil is old or has been sitting, is not lubricating properly.

On another note, you should be changing your oil pretty frequently on a fresh rebuild. There are a few cycles I have seen that lead up to regular oil changes at 3000 miles. I suggest a forum search for "oil change schedule for rebuild" or something similar.

Edit: Did you check your dipstick to see how much oil you have?

i changed it after running for 3 hours when motor was 1st put in
then changed it at 100 miles and im changing it again the mechanics said that not the issue the it like a vibrating/ ticking noise

so now where pulling the front cover off the motor

pulling the timing cover off now and ordering a new belt i hope thats what was making it tick and vibrate real loud... ill know in about in hour

its a good belt to and it looks like its tearing and loose already and thats what we think it was that was slapping around and making the noise. im gonna be pissed if it wasnt LOL

Check to make sure you did not install long oil pan bolts under the timing belt.

Did you do a BSE?

whats that stand for LOL

the bolts are what came on the car there oem as well
and i put new oil in it now im running 20w-50 and bought a gates timing belt so lets see if this works!!!!

BSE = Balance Shaft Elimination

There is a couple of shorter oil pan bolts that go through the oil pan and bolt into the front case, if you put the wrong ones in that point, it will scrub the timing belt and cut a groove in it.

all the lifters were fine and tight checked all the studs everything was good

Just looking at the lifters isn't going to tell you anything. You need to pull them out and bleed/clean them. A new engine will produce bits of metal as everything wears in. Those little metal pieces will clog stock lifters very easily, which stops them from doing their job: Adjust valve lash to keep everything running smooth and quiet. There's an excellent how-to video on Youtube by Jafromobile.

Also check all the timing pulleys, along with the crank center bolt and 4 harmonic balancer bolts. If your removing the front case, now would be the time to install a BSE if you haven't already. That would also eliminate the possibility of the rear balance shaft causing the noise.

that was all done 300 miles ago and all brand new as well as the head

the belt was starting to split from the middle out causing it to hit and making almost like a loud ticking noise and slight vibration.
were putin the new belt in now and will find out if its all good. and im going to check the pan too as well and its not eliminated.

got a new cover and its still making the loud fast ticking noise?!?!?!?! anybody help me please and its NOT THE INJECTORS OR LIFTERS!!!!!!!

i dont know if its the oil pump or its the somthing loose ive been working on it for 3 days and still nothing. i has oil pressure/ no leaks anywhere no boost leaks either. turbo is brand new as well. new gates belt checked all the timing and everything is good.
the head is brand new with 300 miles on it when i pulled the turbo it was not making the noise it sat for 2 months and now its making the noise. im getting pissed i cant figure out what it is. im up to my neck in bills with the f$%king car and i bout had enough of it. i need somebody from the tampa area to come check it out or for someone to call me to help fix it or walk me thru it over the phone.
