I've had this noise for a long time. Can't seem to figure what it is. It sounds like it's coming from the head. I put a different head on and it sounds the same. I thought that it was probably caused from the lifters but I installed the new revised lifters and it still sounds the same. Check out the video. I'm talking about the loud noise in the video and not the engine idle going up and down. But by the way, I'm trying to figure out the idling problem too. Is it a leak or something or maybe coolant temp?

So your's sounds just like mine? You still have the problem? I was thinking it might be timing components to. I changed in a new belt too but still the same. Sounds like it's around the head somewhere close to the fuel injectors.

Mine only happens from about 1300 rpms to about 2200 rpms then it goes away....I always thought it was the timing belt hydraulic tensioner...

My hydro tensioner seems to be working fine. How would the hydro tensioner be making that noise?
