I just finished up my clutch job except for adjusting my shift cables. (No reverse) I know that it works just haven't gotten to it. However. When I went for a drive just to make sure everything felt right I began hearing a loud noise when I would decelerate about 3 min into the drive. It started just fine and idled fine before this also. Then as my short drive continued the car began to idle poorly at <500 rpm sometimes. And died at one point. Now when I went to start it the car won't turn over at all. Any ideas?

Had the same kind of problem and turned out to be a dropped a valve .. good luck with that

Is there any way to check without ripping it apart?

Scratch that. Valves all look good. No shavings in my oil. I'm gonna rip out the tranny and see if my flywheel loosened up.
