Toronto,
ok, when I'm driving in 1st or 2nd there is no noise, then towards 80km/hr (sorry for the km/hr!... 50mph) in third and fourth and fith there is a noise that gets louder and louder as I go faster. the noise COMPLETELY goes away if I turn left at whatever speed and I can only hear the noise starting at 50mph. It sounds like an exhaust noise maybe... I have a straight pipe on instead of a cat... I'm going to be getting a stainless steel turbo-back in the spring, would this solve this problem?!.... what the heck is this??!

what kinda noise are you talking about? is it like a whistle, or a bang, or a rumble, or a whining noise? dsms make lots of noises!

Sorry about that!, I thought I mentioned.... its like a rumbling noise I'd say... the fact that it stops when I turn left makes me think something is rattling maybe, but I'm not sure... its a rumbling noise that gets louder as I go faster.

Check to see if your exhaust is rubbing against anything. I've seen that happen quite often, and have been the victim of it myself.

my exhaust rattles too. it does it when i am stoped and idling or if i am crusing at one speed. Its anoying.

i would check under your car to see if there are any heat shields loose or anything like that to. also, check your lug nuts... my van used to make a weird noise, and it handled fine but it turned out to be the lug nuts.
