So i just bought this 1995 talon tsi awd 5speed 2 weeks ago for 2800$ (NEWB)
145k miles All stock besides mods stated
Rusted passanger side shocktower(have one read to weld in)
Rusted Radiator core support (have one ready to weld in)
stock 7 bolt i assume
slipping clutch(stage2 CC getting installed soon)
P0125 CEL (cleared has not come back have a new O2 i will install tomorro)
Autometer Boost & Volt guage
3in down pipe
2.5in exhaust ??
K&N Cone style airfilter Ebay intakepipe

I installed.
Ebay Hard IC pipes
Gready types BOV Recurc.
Hallmanpro MBC
AEM WB (install tomorro)
DSMLINK V2.5 untuned

It was running fine just rich when i got it(10-13mpg) was daily driving the car since i purchased it no magor issues. Yesterday I installed a Hallman pro boost Controller & Ebay hard intercooler pipes (stock SMIC) with a Real gready type s bov Recurculated.
Car now has

Low power
hesitation at takeoff All most feels like it is in limp mode
choppy Acceleration
Bad Idle
No CEL

What ive done
Deleted MBC till i resolve issue
Found and fix 2 boost leaks at IC couplers.
Fix vac leak at T fitting for Boost guage Capped it off as i dont know were to find the adapter??
TB is leaking also but i didnt touch the TB so im assuming it was like that prior to this issue Will fix soon tho.
Checked vac lines and harness all seem to be good. Checked turbo no shaft play

Tomorrow i will check spark and spark plugs.Compression test and run a Log. I will post log

Question will deleting the boost control solenoid cause this from installing the MBC? It is still plugged in just no lines running to it.
Any help will be appreciated. :hellyeah:

First things first learn and perform a boost leak test correctly.

For some help rebuilding your tb here is a good video I used my first time.

If by adapter you are refer to something to connect the plastic hose from gauge to vacuum, then you can simply use a T with a short piece of small vacuum hose on it. Just push it in there. :thumb: Here is another awesome link to how all of your vacuum lines are supposed to be. http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-miscellaneous/198327-taboo-speed-shop-vacuum-diagram-removal-1g-2g.html#post152901120

You also said you put a bov on. Did you adjust it correctly? Here is a thread I found with an explanation and ways to adjust it. http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/bolt-tech/15991-bov-adjustment.html

Don't forget to check the gap on the plugs and remember not to just drop them back in. Use the spark plug socket to put them in. I'm not going to spoon feed you anymore for now I'll let you learn how to use this awesome link. DSM Forums - Search Forums

Spdmon. Yes I will post a log later today.

97 thank you . I will run another boost leak test. I ran the gready on the OEM ic pipe set up with no issues but I will check that thank you for the links . And sorry I pretty green with the forum search as before I would google my issues and lurk the forums haha . And yes the line adapter from the boost Fisher line to the t fitting split and was leaking I will try that seems simple enough. Lol

So I had a local DSM tuner come by and base tune my car a few hrs ago. We found that my ISC was not set it was at 100 spec is 30. TPS was not car out .67v used link to get back in range. Front O2 was dead. Replaced with a used Denso he had as a spare that one did not seem to cycle like he said it should but was obviously better then my dead O2. He said to Return my NEW Bosch and get a denso So I will do that tomorrow. car definitely runs a lot better now but still not like before I installed the IC pipes. No boost leaks used same method as mine with his tester(TB leak ordered seals). Cheap autolite plugs fouled. Replaced with his spare 1* colder NGKS gapped to 26. Also found that my EGR solenoid was clicking?? LOL Sorry I was unable to log A/F my UEGO kit is missing the powerwire:ohdamn:

BOV is set right. And thanks the vac line over the hard boost line to the t fitting worked great.

Glad you got some help bro. 02 definitely isn't cycling right. air flow is still a bit high and iscposition a bit low in that log. Did you check your isc? Idk much about egr, since I deleted all that crap. How does it drive? idle doesn't look that bad. Can you take pics? maybe we could see something wrong. :hmm:

Yes I can. I'll be ordering a O2 tomorrow. Sorry about the late updates I work might shift so it's hard to post but Yes the ISC was set at 100 the log was after we made the adjustment I'll log it again Friday before I tear it down to swap the clutch and radiator core support. Idle is alot better then before And it's driving alot better now. Still sluggish in 2nd past 4k not sure if that's normal with the t25? My old 95 gsx was a cyclone 6bolt with a 14b so I can't really compare. Before I tear it down I'll link a video of log at idle hopefully my wb harness will in . But depending on time I might pull all the emissions crap to as pinal county doesn't require them . Thank you.

Marking solved as o2 sensor and resetting ecu after fixing boost leaks and replacing o2 smoothed idle issue. Thanks all for the help:thumb:

whats up guys! first turbo car, had some upgrades done nothing major. i keep getting a P0125 code. what i have done... ive changed out the temp sensor, thermostat, the upper 02 sensor and checked coolant! the code is still haunting me. ive noticed on start up the car runs great. its on the second start up that it starts to run at low idle almost stalling out, its off and on power loss and slugish shift take offs. plust its wasting gas like its going on sale! when im boosting it hits 14psi no problem. maybe my ECM is going out??? i dont know?what else to check? anyone that has some info to help with this P0125bugg i would greatly appreciate it.. thanks

As inaccurate as it is, does the gauge in the cluster reach the halfway point in temperature? If it does, get an OBD2 reader and hook it up to the car and see if you can get a reading on the coolant temperature. Then check the wiring going from the sensor back to the ECU. Take note of which sensor. One's for the gauge and one's for the ECU to read. You want the one with the 2 wires going to it, one black and one black with white stripe. The gauge sensor is just one reddish wire. Take a multimeter, verify the sensor is operational, then verify wiring at the connector to the ECU is good. Then verify the ground is good.

If there's continuity in the wiring and the sensor also works fine, I'd look into getting a spare ECU from somewhere.

thanks guys , ill check out voltage and continuity, theres no boost leak but thanks for the info. this car is driving me nuts. i think i will get another ECU just in case. i want to convert my gst into a gsx soon but im not sure what ECU to get??? thanks again guys i appreciate all the help.
