Okay.. so I just bought a 99 GST a few days ago and the alternator needs replacing... how do I got about loosening the serpentine belt to get it off of the alternator pulley?

(I plan on filling out my profile and all that in a bit if anyone's wondering. i'm new ^.^)

DSMs do not use serpentine belts, they use Multi-V belts
Loosen the tensioner pivot bolt, then the tensioner bolt and then loosen the alternator pivot bolt. When you've removed the tension from the tensioner bolt you can lift it out of its bracket and lift the alternator to create enough slack to get the alt belt off.

where's the tensioner pivot bolt located?

Nevermind, I found it, but it's f*king stripped so i can't loosen it.. awesome.
