Looking for plug cover for this valve cover (6 bolt)

This one is painted, but it’ll look like this. It’s very very old and abused, but you get the idea of what they look like. It came off of an evo 3.

The silver would be black, the blue would be red.

I may have one hiding somewhere. I know I have one that's in not so great shape, given your high standards to detail, I don't think you'd want it. And I wouldn't want it on your car either given how keen to detail you put to it LOL

Yeah, finish I can improve, but cracked or chipped is hard to improve. I don’t expect to find a minty fresh one.

I didn’t expect someone to have one for sale in such good condition!

Can’t wait to see it.

I was expecting it to get to you by now. I don't know why it took a detour to Georgia LOL :banghead:

Correct one for the 1Gs/GVR4s is as you've ordered. Part # MD124766. LOOOOONG discontinued.

Currently, everyone is going with the newer style unit that says "Mitsubishi" on it (2G Style): https://jnztuning.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/products-MD316138.jpg

That said, I'm seeing how bad that picture is, and I should upload another.
Yeah - I bought a new one of those for my 2G "16 VALVE - * MITSUBISHI - DOHC 2000" combo. It is nice and minty! It makes sense to have a "* MITSUBISHI" plug cover with an "Unbranded" 2G valve cover. The GVR4/1G cover is branded. It looks weird to me to have "* Mitsubishi - * Mitsubishi - DOHC 16VALVE" and I wanted to go with a combo like they came from the factory, with an unbranded plug cover. "* MITSUBISHI - ----------------- - DOHC 16VALVE"

That - and this combo fits right in with this car's 1G-in-a-2G 6Bolt personality.

Looks gorgeous, but my God Mitsubishi, can you guys not just drill holes? I think brand new they had wallered out holes like that. :p

Can’t wait to see it restored. You gonna paint it black/red or do something else?

Those holes were like that because at least on my Talon they had stepped bolts or grommets or something as I remember that went into them.

Yep, stepped or shoulder-style bolts, MD130704. If Google isn't lying to us, they looked like this new:

As I'm sure is true for most, the grommets / cushions on mine are long gone but still using original bolts.

Ah, I see. I guess to absorb vibration/prevent rattling? Makes sense to me at least.

'preciate the knowledge drop. I've got the original bolts too but the rubber insulator/grommet/wtfever is long gone too like the poster above me said.

Arrived yesterday! Looks good, I’ll put this on the list of items to refresh.

Looks great. Nothing like parts that are supposed to go together!
