ok so im going to look at a 95 gs. The guy said it was stuck in neutral
and that his step dad pulled the tranny. To see what was wrong thinking it may be a clutch problem and it was not. So he was just going to sell it and posted it up on craigslist. Well i called on it and talked him down to $600usd. So he had his step dad put the tranny back in and now its shifting. So what im wondering is i only have about 800-900 to spend on a new car with the motor being in good shape with only 150k on the whole car and i having a rebuilt 6 bolt to drop in it if need be would this be a good buy o and the body is in great shape and the inside of the car looks like new all stock

ps. and what should i look for after testing compression and inspecting the car
and what could have mad it stop shifting?

Something may have jammed the linkage. Such as a lighter or the intake.. this is NON turbo from what I understand from the last reply. So I have 0 experience on them. Under $1000 seems good though.
