Well im new to dsm's and have a question for you guys/girls. I recently traded for a 95 Eclipse gs and having some problems with it. The car runs but at idle it runs like crap. It also almost dies or even does die when i go to slow down to a stop. The check engine light isnt on, but once and a while itll flash when i go to put it in park. Ive been researching a little and it seems like it could be the IACV, or the ECU. Would you think this could be the problem? What would you try first? Sorry if i posted in the wrong place. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Alright Well heres a pic. The top plug is the tps sensor correct? An the bottom one is the IACV? Or is the IAVC somewhere else?

You are correct. the one on top is the TPS and the bottom is the IACV. Don't worry about not being able to take them back. As long as you have the receipt then you should be able to take them back. If not then that's a pretty crappy parts store. Go with those for now and if that doesn't fix it then we can go further but Im pretty sure that one if not both of those is gonna be your problem. Let me know how it goes. Good luck. :thumb:

Alright well i went out and bought a new iacv and mas. sensor, and still having problems. Itll run good perfect at idle till it idles for a few min, and then it seems like its missing. It still almost stalls out when when i come to a stop. Could this be the tps? Or do you think it could be the ecm? Sorry for all the questions.

what kind of maintenance has the car received recently? plugs and wires? anything? i would at least change the plugs out also while you're in there messing around. and i would also change the tps next. no point in spending the money on an ecu and then that not be your problem.

and also... most parts stores won't return electrical parts once they've been installed. at least we don't. once you plug them in, they're yours :)

Alright So far i have replaced the iacv, maf sensor, tps, and checked for vacuum leak, and still haveing problems. What else should i try im running out of ideas? The only other thing i could change is the egr valve and the ecm. But would either of these two problems cause this?
