Looking at a shell FS and wanting opinions

I thought this would be the best place to get some good opinions. The guy wants $1500 and I was wondering if its worth it. The body and interior are in great condition and he claims some new(er) parts but no info to support it. Here is the ad info if it helps:

I have a 95 awd Eclipse GSX shell for sale, I bought it as a shell, put a motor in it and drove it for a while, blew it up and now have too many projects(my land lord is on my ass ). Anyways the car has 99 gsx BLACK interior in the car as of now but will only go with the car for the asking price. The body is pretty damn straight.

The car has;
new rear diff
new rear hubs
new rear axles
new U joints
new brakes
new Walboro 255

The car has 132,000 miles on it with ZERO strut tower rust.

95 shell not bad is there a engine in it now.

All depends on what it comes with, the condition of the body/frame, etc.

if its rolling and everything is there besides engine-doesn't seem like a bad price. Hard to judge with 0 pictures and not much info.

Down here that would be a great price maybe down to a "grand", if it's good as he says...I would jump on that because I can NOT find a 95'/96' GSX anywhere down here....shell or not........

same around here. Trying to find a gsx shell of ANY kind is a pain in the ass! I just happend to come across this while searching for something else!


Btw, it comes with no motor, no trans, and no transfer case. If I get this it would be a high horsepower build. I know nothing about what these cars go for now but I have always loved them and they're getting harder and harder to find.

see if you can talk him down a bit, but the photos look great! the trip in person will say the most about it's shape

well the guy won't call me back even though he sent me an email to call him after 1pm today for an address so I'm guessing he either sold it or changed his mind.

Bryanwheat if you can tell me where to find a decent shell for that kind of money PLEASE let me know!!

That shell actually looks really clean though. And has everything there.

Me personally, id buy it, if everything checks out. No major rust or anything important missing. Having the full harness and full drivetrain there and intact is pretty import for a price like that though. It have to be a drop the motor in and go kind of shell.

I got a shell in Upper Marlboro MD. 95 gsx shell for 600. Tt needs a motor comes with a transmission, needs suspension wheels tires driver seat and transfer case. My 1g wheels are on it now so those are staying with me. I do not have pics now as i am in another city and without a cam phone right now.
