looking at this tsi, any opinions?

Im looking at getting this tsi. Is awd but auto. Let me know what you guys think and i got him down on the price so just let me know if its worth it. Heres the link. 1996 Eagle Talon TSi

It needs to be a 5 speed IMHO. The work that it needs is going to cost some labor money unless you are willing to do it yourself. The pics show it to be in good condition bodywise, but cars are meant to be driven. If it was me, I would look at a worst case possibility and look for other TSI's to weigh it against before I bought that one.

Tsi's fwd/awd, gst/gsx's around here are very rear to find that have not been turned to a metal pile or beatin up from people not taken care of them. The body on this 1 by the pics he has sent me is close it not right at a 9/10. And a it could possibly be a blown turbo. Good point. Ill see how things go saturday.

Part way through 92 they went from 6 bolt to 7 bolt. so depending on when it was made that year.

OP: the talon is worth more in parts then his asking price. Id buy it in a heartbeat if I had somewhere to put it.

92.5 to 99 were 7 bolts....You could order a 93 with a 6 bolt..But I have only ever heard of one..And the guy who ownes it is a memmber here..

I feel like I repeat myself alot.... Auto's are awesome. Forget breaking your 5-speed every year, just get your auto trans built, get a sift box (or make one), and laugh at the 5-speed guys because they have to spool between shifts. Add a trans brake and they have nothing on you. Not even the "fun" factor.

Its pretty clean for a 96. Paint is 8/10 interior is 9/10 do to the driver seat being alittle worn.
