loggers.. which one do use???

i am using this software called tunerstein, and a obd1 cable to a laptop. does anybody recommmend any other program becuase it seems to me that everytime i open up this damn program something changed as far as results are concerned.

DSMLink! You can tune way better and easier than SAFC or MAFt and log WAY more stuff that tunerstein or anything else. And never "out-grow" it. But if you JUST want to log maybe get a Scanmaster 3. I got one and it's neat. I can see everything function on the fly really easy. But I eventually out grew my MAFt and got dsmlink and wished I had never forked out the 200 bones for the Scanmaster.

But, IMHO tunerstein is the best you can get for practically nothing spent. I have used it and it's not terrible.

EDIT: I don't have the slightest clue how to help you get tunerstein to work w/ your laptop. I don't even know how I got it to work w/ mine. I just forked around for a week until it started working.

he just wants to log,not a billion dollar engine management w/log features.tunerstein sucks for me,i use mmcd.works way better.

I tried palmnstein and pocketlogger. Pocketlogger is the better product in my opinion. It allows for me to graph and view my files in csv. This makes comparisions to old logs much simpler. I found navigation on palmnstein very difficult.

i have a copy of tmo,from a logger i bought on ebay.then i found out it wont work on my laptop due to lack of a serial port.

If there is any way possible for you to afford it, I would go ahead and do the DSMLINK. I am usuing an AFCII and MMCD and it is a good combo, but I am seriously considering swapping to DSMLINK. You really don't save that much money by buying an AFC and a logger. I got a good deal on the logger and only spent 80 bucks on the whole set-up. In my opinion, MMCD is the best of the loggers (I also believe that is who SBR suggests if you are going to use a logger)

It is once you get the hang of it, I'm using it in my car (since it's the only free logger I've found for 2g's) It was weird to get used to at first, but now that I've used it for a while it's easy to use. Only thing I don't like about it, is you can't log fuel injector pulse width and duty cycles

the cable works for all logging programs.and i think that guy on the ecimulti site made a version for pc.
