I seem to be knocking a little :thumbdown I immediately turned the boost down to 12 and it helped some but it's still not good. I'm not sure what would cause me to knock so bad. I have new plugs, wires, fuel filter. and everything else is in pretty good shape, and I just checked for intake leaks and there are none.

also my fuel trims seem to indicate a problem
ftrl:118.7%
ftrm: 117.1%
ftrh: 107.0
at idle o2 trim bounces between 130-140%

Any thoughts or suggestions welcome.

yes, I grounded the terminal then hit it with a light. I just meant when I was done I made sure the light and the logger showed the same thing.

kinda off topic .. but my 2g is having a simlar timing problem only not as bad. I may be pushing it at 24 psi, however my logger shows base timing to be 6-9 degrees .... does that seems high or ok? All my timing marks are dead on and the cas is not adjustable on my car so its gotta be right right? ( built 7 bolt block ... 1g head )

sorry to drift off topic .. just though while we're on the whole base timing issue I could learn some too. Maybe its just because I'm tuning with an safc? Maybe just boost leaks?

well, first off, what are your actual mods? I looked in your profile but I don't think APC washer nozzle lights will give you the ability to run 24 psi. you have an safc and an afpr I assume, what kind of knock are you getting?

Those intake temps aren't going to help knock either, especially on a stock SMIC. Did you hack up your air can? I did mine and I get high intake temps, getting ready to put on a 2g MAS and move the filter, and block it off from the rest of the engine bay.
