Load Based tuning; any solutions?

I have been looking for a different tuning solution as opposed to the link, safc, or maft. I have read some information about the ProM unit. It has been around but many DSMers refuse to use it because of the price. This is less of a concern to me. The Karmen MAS flows better than anything out there and I believe for my car to run right I NEED to keep a MAS. The ProM uses baro and temp inputs not static like the GM MAF which will make my car run good in hot/cold and different load.

When defining load based tuning it is based on how much air the engine sees. This is a good basis for how much poer the engine is making. Tuning based off load is better than RPM based tuning because it will not give you dead points. Furthermore tuning from load will allow you to change boost pressure, fuel, and then the ProM will compenstae the difference because the Karmen sensor is going to make the car run right without retuning everything.

Well the car has an EEPROM ECU although it is not exactly something that people "tune" after it is flashed. I understand your comment, but a piggyback is still needed.
 
Sorry about that. I have since updated my profile and added a few pictures of the talon. I had the EVO, but sold it.

Either way for my 2G that I have now I am looking for the best way to tune based on load based tuning. Not tuning based on RPM or speed density.
 
Excuse me, the 95 ECUs that are EPROM (rathern than non-EPROM) are not EEPROM (or flash) based. You could look into how DSMlink converts their sliders into changed to the factory fuel and timing maps or start modifing the factory maps yourself.

There are flash 2G ECU's but not in '95.

I am not trying to offend. I want good advice, sorry if there is any confusion there.

When i say flash I mean chip like what keydiver does.

This is an erroneous assumption. The GM maf accounts for baro and temp changes within the mas, it doesn't need external baro and temp sensors like a karmann mas does, that's why the MAFT locks out baro and temp inputs on our cars. Those two extra inputs are redundant with a GM maf.

And that's why the stock ecu works very well, it's a load based system. Those who have removable EPROM chips are doubly blessed since they can tune a variety of parameters without having to convert to speed-density.

I can understand the need to use a karmann maf that has a higher airflow capacity than a hacked 2g maf, or even an EVO8 maf. Are you nearing the point where those maf's are being outflowed?
 
Wrong. The GM MAF uses fixed temp/baro inputs.

I do not feel that I am outflowing even the 2G MAS, although most that upgrade to the MAFT are not even outflowing their stock MAF. If I can get good tuning and a better MAF at the same time I don't even think this is debatable; the car is better off.

I do have an EPROM avialble and I am considering using it so less adjustment will be done with whatever tuning device that I do get. Something tells me a SAFC2 might be all I need when combined with a keydiver. Although the money spent there I could have a ProM or MAFT Pro; although I really want a lous based tuning solution; it makes the most sense for a reliablie running car.
