Let me start with some background info. The car is a 90 Eagle Tsi AWD Built motor. All leak tests have been done. I have a leak around the throttle body bolts, very minor compared to the problem Im having. A set of stock injectors are currently in it for diagnostic purposes. Along with all stock fuel system except for a Walbro 255 w/ rewire. I recently swapped a 91 ecu and harness into it and so far its working fine.(problem existed before the swap also) The reason for doing that was to help eliminate some of my problems (which I will get to). Ive replaced most of the sensors with the replacement harness and the O2 sensor. The car starts up and idles alright. The timing is right on with the 800~950 rpm.
Ok the problem is, when the throttle is pushed at all it wants to fall on its face. Like the intercooler pipe is blown off or has a massive leak. It also feels like the timing is being pulled or is getting flooded with fuel. When you go to drive it the turbo immediately starts to try to build pressure (like is loaded massively) but it has no power at all. Just in tinkering with it I took the CAS and advanced it quite a bit (no light to reference when i did it) and it ran quite a bit better but still loading up. I'm currently waiting for a new logger to check all the data (old one got stolen). I was either thinking phantom knock somehow or a stuck injector? But at the moment I'm completely lost. Also Im not counting out the timing belt could be off a tooth at the crank.
Any Ideas will be appreciated
