I am so curious as to how far a Chipped ECU can take you in terms of tuning. For example, say I have a chip set for 11:1 A/F, with 750cc Injectors, yada yada yada. Could I run say, A Holset HX35, but using a wideband gauge to watch for change in mixture, in case the computer could not handle the increase in any boost I decide to make? Any input I would much appreciate! :thumb:

As, far as I know. a Programmed Eprom you have to state your mods and is specific to what you have current. it will still do what any stock ECU does with the fact of minor adjustments when weather changes cold/hot.

As, long as your injectors are not running past 80% duty cycle no matter how much you turn the boost up I don't see it posing an issue. I say 80% because you do not want to have your car running any higher than that or you will lean out quick!

Once you get the injector size and maf comp dialed in to match your injectors and maf the fuel and timing maps also need to match your boost level. Stock 2G timing maps are good for around 20psi of boost, assuming the rest of your car is working right, no boost leaks, good knock sensor, good plugs yada yada yada...

91 octane can make good power up to around 25psi of boost, maybe more if you have an efficient setup and the tune is watched closely.

The most important mod that you can do to your car is a good engine management system. You already have a eprom ecu it sounds and the dsmlink program has made 9 sec passes and 1000whp.
