so theirs alot of new companies over the past 3 years that have been getting in to the coilover/ suspention game and i just wanted to know what you guys though about the following brands (actual experience not opinion) and useful info we could all used if thinking of buying some anytime soon.

k-sport

D2 (look a lot like k-sport, could it be the same?)

NEX

godspeed

E-motor usa

and megan

E-Motor would be the coil overs i just got and they seem pretty decent for the price

I have Megan coilovers on my car, before I bought them I was a skeptical about the quality of Megan products. RRE went so far as to suggest them to me over a set of Tein basics, and I have to say I really like them. They're easy to adjust, the ride is stiff but not tail bone shattering. And at under a grand for the price you can't beat em.

Im running ksports on my 2g and I love them. Ride is stiff but nice and easily adjustable. I paid 700$ shipped for them from maperformance during a sale so for that price I couldnt turn them down. I'd recommend them.

I have the NEX GTs. They are nice for the price, fully adjustable.
I've had no problems with them.

They are 600 lb/inch front and 300 rear.
I would like a little softer in the front and stiffer rear.
I think 550/400 would be ideal for an AWD.

I think the problem with all the cheaper coilovers is that the shocks can't handle the springs.

You need an high end shock to handle a 600 lb/inch spring.

These were a 1000% improvement over the worn out stock setup.

i use to have tien springs on my gst with the illumina 5 shocks and didnt like it... it was to soft and i would bottom out to easy.

how long have you had your k-sports jjgrizz73?... my boss told me they are the D2 coil overs re painted and i had complains from the 240 guys that they start making noise after a while is that true?:hmm::confused:

Can we possibly include the adjustable coil sleeves and aftermarket shocks in this too?

I feel like a lot of people go with coilovers to get some ride height adjustability and the sleeve setup accomplishes this the simplest and *I think* cheapest way.

sure lets put all possibilities in i just listed those above as example of low priced set ups since not all dsmers have spare cash.:tease:

as for the sleeves yeah cheapest way to lower car but not the best or most reliable because lots of people lower their cars on stock chocks and they are not design to be that low.:non:

Well i cant say anything about them long term since they have only been on the car for about 1000miles. I doubt they are exactly like the D2s but close. I liked the price and they perform A LOT better than the tokico strut/spring setup i had before this. Like I said though, I cant say anything long term...
