Hey what is the kragen part number for the oil drain plug gasket? Or what do i need to fix the leak?

I have a leak at the return line where it meets the oilpan.

Correct me if im wrong. Use 6mm crush washers and put some permatex #2 on the bolt thread? Would the permatex mix with the oil in the pan? Im kind of confused.

i just had this problem with mine. the holes that the screws went into on the oil pan were stretched. i used American 1/4 by 20 thread pitch for that problem, i also used thread locker on them. then a small amount of non hardening silicon sealant between the pan and return line. also it is important to use the crush washers they make all the difference. and once it was all torqued down i sprayed the bottom of the pan and line with spray on copper sealant. it hasn't leaked one drop since.

I'm going to try some of this permatex #2 on the turbo side and see if it fixes my leak...I'm not sure why it is leaking on that side with a brand new return line, gasket, and bolts.

get new crush washers, 2 gaskets and copper spray. Copper spray the 2 gaskets and put them together on the oilpan side, torque the bolts to spec. I think it was Corey (GOFER) who told me about this, i tried it and it worked perfectly, stopped my leak. As for turbo side, make sure your drain hole on the flange is the same size or bigger than the drain hole on your turbo. I had a buddy who bought a 16G oil return kit but ended up buying a bigger turbo down the road and reusing the oil return. The oil drain hole on the turbo was big and square shaped and the oil return flange hole was small and round and that was the cause of his leak off the turbo side. Sometimes people miss little things like that and get stumped as to why they have a leak.

Well it first started leaking this past time when I removed the return line to re-seal the oil pan (which is still leaking btw, I used all new bolts, scraped off all the old sealant, de-greased it with brake cleaner, straightened it as much as possible, and re-assembled with the "right stuff"). When I put in the return line, I bought new gaskets and sprayed both sides of both gaskets with copper spray - this is when it started to leak bad.

I then ordered a new 1G line and bought all of the bolts/washers mentioned near the top of this page including new gaskets and put it back together without copper spray. It still leaks at the oil pan end but the turbo side isn't quite as bad as it was. I just picked up some of the permatex #2 today and I'll try it on the turbo side bolts because it seems like it's leaking from there.

I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Anyone work at oreilly's or advance and know if those stores keep crushwashers instock in the back? I know both stores have hardware and shit in the back but its hit or miss if I can get an employee to go ####ing look for the ####ing shit.

Or if does anyone know what size these are? I am about ready to just order a lifetime supply of them.

What size is the bolt? That's what size they are.

For the 1G oil pan they are 6mm bolts and crush washers.

Thanks steve, the laziness of the employees is realling pissing me off. I know that the last time I put a drain on I got the crush washers at either the local O'Reilly or Local Advance Auto parts. I had to go to 5 stores looking for them.

Just going to order them online, can probably find them in bulk somewhere.

Tried the permatex #2 on the bolts and it's no longer leaking at the top of the return line, but my pan is still leaking...I'm going to order a new non-oem pan and get a socket-less return line from extremepsi.com.

I couldn't find any threads on oil pans, but anyone have any experience with auto parts store oil pans? I just need it to be completely flat, my oil pan was slightly uneven even after going at it with a mallet.
