Hey what is the kragen part number for the oil drain plug gasket? Or what do i need to fix the leak?

If you are talking the oil return line from the bottom of the turbo to the oil pan, then no you don't need crush washers on the bolts. I do believe however, that they use lockwashers. Hope this helps.:)

CAPS doesn't show them and I don't remember from when I put the turbo on.

I also don't remember any lock washers on the pan bolts just the crush washers which makes sense since they seal between the bolt head and the oil drain pipe so you don't get a leak past the bolt threads.

thanks steve, so crush washer between the bolt head and the flange, or between the pan and the flange? what size? if you know off hand

6mm copper crush washer between bolt head and return line flange. The gasket goes between the pan and return line.

thanks man...i had no idea you needed crush washers for the return line. i just replaced the line and it still leaks, but not nearly as much as it did...just a few drops here and there

There's bolts that hold the oil return line to the oil pan and to the turbo compressor, was wondering if all 4 were the same.
same size head 10mm but differant bolt lenght....oil pan bolts are longer if i remember correctly

You don't specify bolt by their head size. It's by the diameter of the shaft and length.
Both sets are 6mm. The bolts for the turbo have lock washers included and are shorter where the ones for the pan don't have lock washers since they get the crush washers and are 6mmx20mm.

The bolts and crush washers for the return line to the pan are the same 1G or 2G but the return line to turbo are different part number between 1G and 2G.

MF660031 Crush washer
MF241225 1G Turbo bolt with washer
MF241251 2G Turbo bolt with washer

can you tell im a newb:rolleyes:

I just put a new turbo on and it fixed my smoke issue. But I noticed smoke under the hood. The entire underneath of the car was covered in oil. One of the gaskets was the wrong size for the drain turbo. I have a feeling its coming from there.

Do both ends need the crush washers? Dumb question, but do the mount against the block and turbo between the two surfaces? Doesn't seem like they would.

There is a gasket that goes between the turbo and return line. The two bolts into the turbo have a retained washer but I don't remember what it looks like, just that the washers are part of the bolt. At the pan end there is again a gasket between the pan and return line plus there is a crush washer between the return line flange and the bolt head.

So only gaskets between the return line flanges and the turbo or oil pan.

Gotcha. The gasket was incorrect where it bolts to the oil pan so its leaking massivly, plus a bolt is stripped I do believe. Ah this sucks :notgood:
