Lambo vertical Doors [Merged 8-7]

Man i dont know how anyone could say that lambo doors dont look good on 2gs.. Looks clean gatosport..

They do look good on 2g's, I don't know why people bash it. Seriously who cares if someone has lambo style doors. By the way with 550 cc injectors, walbro 190, 16g and 20 psi you can get into the 300HP club. Crankwalk isn't that common in 7 bolts, I had 160,000 miles on my 7bolt before I spun a bearing on the track, no crank walk. So don't let people put that 7 bolt down! LOL.

yeah vertical doors look awesome on the 2g, i actually have them on my car now, just got the ones we at Twisted Image, East Coast Customs make installed and they are working great... our doors are custom fit for every car, and they are the only vert doors that have the option for free LED lighting in the arms, to give your car all the more attention... we use these LED's almost like the lights you would have on the high end cars that light up the groud under the door, just these arent white, they are any color you choose, as long as LED's are made in that color... Also with your purchase you get a free Twisted Image hat, T shirt, and logo to slap on your ride... email me at [email protected] or go to our website at tiecc.net for more info on this product, or on sponsorship opportunities. Of course the money is coming from a DSM owner, so you know I will be bias towards the DSM's more than any other vehicle that tries to get sponsored... Thanks a lot

I know this is not a DSM but this will show how our product looks... if you would like the doors to go up 90 degrees we can work something out... remember we custom make these so we can make them do whatever you want, of course the price will be affected by any drastic changes to the design of these doors, but you can still do it if you want:thumb:

The biggest pain in the ass about VDC is the sag screw... it seems to always loosen up a little and you have to fix it constantly.

When it starts to loosen the door will sag.. and not line up when you go to close it. Everyperson I know that has lambo doors has this problem, and I know about 15... so I won't believe for a second that there is a kit out there that doesn't loosen up. Just so you know, they are a pain in the ass. Would I put them on my DSM.... for sure, I don't daily drive mine. Would I put them on a daily driver again... hell no

Well i will tell you what... my kits cannot shut any other way other than perfectly lined up because they follow a set path with a pin that guides the doors down, and once it gets to the right location it slides into a hole, insuring a perfect closure every time... this is a patented design and is guaranteed to work, so if you can explain how the hole will eventually move where the pin goes in, and how the door will not line up, then i will believe you... i have built these kits for a lot of cars and i have never once had a complaint on anything, and never had one returned... i had one person that thought that there was to much pressure in the shocks so they opened them up slightly and let all the air out on accident... even though this was not my fault i still replaced the shocks for free... These kits are guaranteed to work perfect every time and if they dont you can send them back and get a new kit or your money back... Oh also these dont have a sag screw so that cant loosen, these are built for the car, so the sag screw is not needed... that is for the adjustable universal kits, like i said before, they suck and you get what you pay for...

I bet all of these were purchased from ebay... those kits do not work all that great and are worthless after a few months... i have had a good amount of people ask me if i would take their ebay crap kits as a trade in for my kits... Oh yeah believe there is a kit out there that does work everytime because mine does... i have been making them for 3 years now and no problems... all the kits i have ever sent out are still in working order, and most of them are on daily drivers... Just spend the money and buy a real kit, doesnt have to be from me, and you will see the difference... real kits are made to work right everytime, not right just long enough for you to forget the companies number you bought them from... what do they care if they dont work a few months down the road? they dont have a warranty on them or anything like i do... THESE ARE GUARANTEED TO WORK, EVERYTIME, UNDER ANY CONDITIONS.

Here are a few examples... there are more on my website at TIECC.net.... the site is under renovation though so it might not work when you try to access it but keep checking back because it will be up soon

Watch it, you're right on the line of needing to sign up as a site vendor if you keep this up.

well my Talon is not a daily driver either, dosent move during the winter and i work to much during the summer so its like a weekend make me some money toy!!! From the way it sounds they are just another maintence, but whats the joy of owning a dsm if you dont plan on maintencing it?? Think ill invest now, and enjoy this summer, whats the average installation time?

I was thinking about getting a set for mines but noticed one night at a meet where I live like 10 people with lambo doors and each one would have to slowwwwwwwwwwwly put there door down, I'm not sure where they got there kit from but does anybody else have the same problem, they all each had to slowly put it down then try and get the door to line up to even close it. could be just bad install i'm not sure just wondering if anybody else had to do this.

i have seen people with the dual shocks...and they seem hard to pull down...
that or they are all just paranoid, like some of my friends who buy off ebay

that is set at roughly 75... these doors are on a track and you can pull them down as fast as you want, and shut them perfectly... there is no need to pull them down slowly... they are well balanced so it just takes a couple fingers to raise or lower them with the shocks we buy...

Just whatever you guys do, and whoever you buy for, dont get the kit off ebay, you know the $350 one. Its not worth the money at all because you will regret it. They are very cheaply made and are not made FOR an eclipse or talon, they are universal with adjustments, and this causes a lot of problems.

Another thing to think about. When the door is open at 75 degrees you can grab the door arm rest to pull the door shut when you are sitting in the car. At 90 degrees what do you plan on grabbing? There is nothing there to grab onto and that will cause a big hassle. Also, at 75 degrees the shock on ours is hooked to the hinge we supply, which makes the kit very stable, but if you get the 90 degree kit, the shock is mounted to the arm of the vertical doors and the kits are very wobbly, especially when they are open fully with the wind going

to answer your question, yes there are lamo doors out there that actully open like a real lambo door, or very close to it. BUT they are usually custom jobs.

Do you have any pics of your 75 degree assembly that are on tracks?

the few 90 degree kits that i have seen aren't wobbely at all, but they all have springs/struts that extend far into the fender to keep them stable, as well as struts that actully push the door out a little bit to hold it there (and steady). they are huge custom jobs.

you are better off to get a bolt on, no mod kit and deal with the 75 degree angle.
