Lambo vertical Doors [Merged 8-7]

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

You don't see alot of cars on here with them because this site is PERFORMANCE orriented. now go on over to www.2gnt.com and they have tons of them over there, most of the N/T site has mods geared toward looks not performance. I personally don't like the look of vertical doors unless you have a body kit, a stock body is :barf: with them.

Yes, it's the damnedest thing, the AutoSearch still isn't working. You actually have to type something (like ....umm..... LAMBO) in the search box and then push the button. God, what a nuisance.

hey jus installed the doors today. sorry for the night pics i didnt finish till late. but yea let me know what you think and any questions feel free to ask. :dsm: :D p.s. tomrrow im finishing up my custom 6x9's so look ou for more pics tomrrow. :thumb:

I think you should have lost that massive wheel gap before installing the lambo doors.

yea rims are on the way im still deciding on which rims. and still thinkin of getting it painted. i didnt wanna paint it and the install new doors on it and scratch the paint. but what do you guys keep it silver and chrome or alluminum or black rims...or go black with black rims?

damn who wouldve guess a stock looking spyder with lambos? maybe its just me, but i dont think of a car with lambos until it atleast has wheels and a lowering or something. i mean, they dont look bad, but they dont really go with the car.... maybe if you had more shit done to it it would go a lot better, just my $.02

yea i understand and i really do feel the same way. but like i said above i wanted to get everything that would be painted out the way first so i wont have to delay getting it painted any longer. rims i could add anytime.

Looks real good. In my opinion, I'd repaint it the stock green it had before. That way you wouldn't have to repaint the jams and engine bay. I've never seen a green Spyder anyways.

Guys. He did it in the order he wanted it. If i had 2grand or whatever it cost him for those lying around, i'd put those on and start saving for rims/spring wich would cost maby 1500? To me seems alot easier to do it that way, but then again, i'm a really bad saver unless i REALLY want something.

don't hate... you guys are just jealous haha... makes perfect sense to have put them on before a paint job... as for color any spyder i ever see is that color i think yo ushould go with something thats never been done before ha...btw how difficult was the installation and how much did it cost you?

Looks pretty good. But lambos look better on hardtops IMO. And just like everyone else was saying.. repaint it stock green. Lambos really help out in addition to looking good. With our doors like 3 feet long. So next time your in a jammed parking lot, ya dont have to worry bout knockin the crap out of the car next to ya.

Oh yea. Post some pics up when you get those rims. :thumb:

sick ...really sick...can't wait to see pics of the finished product :thumb:
I wanted to do that to my car too ....just waiting till I sell my 90 N/T rebuilt and sold and get my Tsi first....the 92 N/T is going to be my daily driver ....that is when it is running again

Lambo doors belong on modified showcars, not stock rides. Otherwise, nice.. get the door jambs painted, rims, etc. Bring the rest of the car up to baller status and it will look 100X better. :thumb:

Very nice :thumb: I'd keep the silver on the car and just have the door jams painted to match the car. Dark/gunmetal rims on silver look nice IMO. Also, you might want to think about dropping the car.

heya nice to see some other :dsm: :talon: with lambos i have them on my car too (only cost me 500bucks...gotta love sponsors) just wondering what brand yours are? Looks good :thumb:

that looks pretty damn good....ive considered doing that to my 1gb but it needs alot more work before i can consider those.

got any pics of how much u rolled ur fender?

thanx for all the positive feedback guys! to answer some questions: got the kit off ebay i could give you which guy i brought it from. it was $502 shipped...a friend and i installed them on 2 separate days because we both didnt get off work till late but it would take around 3-5 hrs to get them both done same day depending on what tools you have. you dont need to extend the wires that connect to the windows etc...rolled the fender (i dont have my car right now so no pics, getting a viper alarm put on) but we basically chopped off all but about 1/4" off. u really only have to do about half of he fender because the hinge doesnt come in contact with the bottom half of the fender. it has screws which adjust how far they swing out and also how high they go up. there is another screw which raises and lowers the door so that it will close correctly. the shock which opens it holds 700lbs so no probs there( i tried to compress it with my hands and it woundnt budge). the hinges themselves are heavy as hell they weigh about 15-20 lbs a piece solid steel. umm i cant think of any more issues to talk about so if there are any more questions ill be happy to answer them. pm me if you'd like. as for color, yes going green would prob be he best choice, but i was really set on a black or a silver. i know it would be a pain in the ass to paint the whole engine bay and doors and all but theres always a price for perfection...

good job. honestly.
i would have spent the money elsewhere. it is your money and you do what you like and what makes you happy. good luck with whatever you persue with the car. :dsm:
