loool hahaha yea sorri about those..yes they are confortable like i said you can adjust it to how u want them to open. from outside they are easy to open/close, while in them its kind of harder. im going to install a handle on the door so it'll be easier to close while you are in the car. the handles will be along the lines of the things ppl use to hold onto in cars when its a bumpy ride (above the window) ppl also sometimes use them to hang dry cleaned clothes..yea i hope you guys understand what im talking about :p .

Heya sounds like you got the same hinges as me just from there ebay site. My advice on the doors is to not put that riduclous handle on there i was thinking the same thing too but after about 2 weeks the shocks loosened up and now its easier than opening them stock so i would say give it a bit more time before you go hacking up your doors unnecisarly.. And for whoever asked about how much you have to roll your inner fender the further the better because these hinges or at least the ones i have open both stock and up but to open them up far enough to get in it stock you have to COMPLETLY take the inner lip off

thanx for all the positive feedback guys! to answer some questions: got the kit off ebay i could give you which guy i brought it from. it was $502 shipped...a friend and i installed them on 2 separate days because we both didnt get off work till late but it would take around 3-5 hrs to get them both done same day depending on what tools you have. you dont need to extend the wires that connect to the windows etc...rolled the fender (i dont have my car right now so no pics, getting a viper alarm put on) but we basically chopped off all but about 1/4" off. u really only have to do about half of he fender because the hinge doesnt come in contact with the bottom half of the fender. it has screws which adjust how far they swing out and also how high they go up. there is another screw which raises and lowers the door so that it will close correctly. the shock which opens it holds 700lbs so no probs there( i tried to compress it with my hands and it woundnt budge). the hinges themselves are heavy as hell they weigh about 15-20 lbs a piece solid steel. umm i cant think of any more issues to talk about so if there are any more questions ill be happy to answer them. pm me if you'd like. as for color, yes going green would prob be he best choice, but i was really set on a black or a silver. i know it would be a pain in the ass to paint the whole engine bay and doors and all but theres always a price for perfection...

your price for perfection is going to removing the engine and everything from the engine bay, then spraying it, clear coat if u wanna show off ur engine, then putting it all back in and wondering y you still have a bucket full of nuts and bolts

The lamdo doors are already played out imo. And definitly on a stock car.

On the other hand..if the owner(this case you) like the car with those on and find it worth the money to put them on I wont say anything about it. Everyone does what he/she likes the most. So keep it up and get the rest of the car up to par and it will be great!!

Good luck with the car! :)

one more pic...lambo's with better view of angel eyes...cam phone...ive been getting crazy comments on the car everyone seems to love em...yea the shocks r gettin looser so im gonna skip the handle idea. all the guys that say oh you should have done this you should have done that before you did the doors remember....i can still do it. i can still get rims still get engine work etc...just give me a few weeks... :thumb: :sneaky:

I'm sick of people saying lambo doors are played out. Right. I'll tell you what's "played-out", doors opening factory, like every single car on the road. Its good to be different. Now make your car's body something better than stock. :thumb:

hey man thats looks very nice...who cares if its stock....i am going to putting on some lambo doors on mine next year...after income tax...and mine is just stock...i plan on getting everything else later...but the thought of lambo doors just makes me impatient...and makes me want to get them first...i wouldnt listen to all the crap everyone else says...like that bad stuff...if you like them then you like them...it looks nice overall....yeah i gotta repaint mine...and mine is green :-\ :dsm:

Very nice looking. I got a set on my 2000 Mustang, love em! Hows your door weight on the hinge? Mustang doors are really heavy, so I have problems with struts blowing out on me. PNP sent me some new struts that are supposed to never blow

ok i did a search but i could tfind an answer to my specific question...im considering putting lambo doors on my car. However, im unsure if i need to roll the fenders for this. its a 1gb. anyone know if this is necessary?

sell your car and buy a turbo one. lambo doors cost too much and dont make you faster.

WTF

You will need to modify the inner part of the fender to make the doors work, but then again everything will be custom so that wont be a big suprise. Good luck

i know that the big craze right now is "mad tyte lambo doors" but really.... i wouldn't do it. I know that's not what you were asking about, but the reason most people want to do it is because it'll be unique... well it's not that unique when every other modder is doing it to his civic/etc... want something you really don't see? go gullwing. So please, for the love of the 1g, don't do it. But yes, the fender needs rolled.

ok, does anyone have a pic of a rolled fender? is that something i cna do myself or should i have someone else do it? also, i dont want it because its original...i jsut want ti because i think it would look cool.

If you have the time, money, and resources...GO FOR IT! I'm a 1g too so I gotta give you support on this man. Its probably going to cost a ton of money and time but would look sweet. I am more for either the Gull wing door style or what I really want is Sucide doors. (When they open backwards!) That'd be killer. I just dont want to spend my money on that stuff right now....

how about lambo suicide doors heh j/k, I thought about doing the lambo thing but getting the motors off the rear doors on Caravans so they could be motorized
