KYB agx question about adjustment

when i bought my 99 gsx it came w/ kyb agx adjustable and its set on 4, now does 4 mean i will handle good but will be bumpy or is it the other way around... thanks

Basically, your car will handle better because there will be less body roll but for daily driving the ride will be rougher.

I'd posted a list of the KYB AGX rates a while ago... mailed KYB about it, and got back specifics.

Short version is that 1 is the stock rate, 4 is 223% stock.

Since I have 4/8 and a 1.5" drop, I keep mine set to 2/4 for a slightly stiffer than stock ride. Also, make certain that your tire psi is between 32 and 35. I was a bonehead before, and was running at max tire press (44psi), which made the ride incredibly rough and uncomfortable. Remember, it's the factory spec that you should inflate to, not the tire max.
