1G knock sensor

Ok so my car is throwing a code for knock sensor i have it hardwired from the knock sensor plug to the ecu pin for detnation sensor and ground obviously is to ground but i tested the wire going to ecu for proper volts and im getting around 3v and the haynes book says 8-11v what could it be

Also will the no knock sensor cause my car to run poorly

It will pull all your timing unless you have link to disable the knock sensor. Mine was messed up for a while and it was dropping timing to zero at wot and anything above 3000rpm. Now im running 16* @ redline, it probably lost me 50hp by the butt dyno method.

Sorry I don't know about the other question. But I know its not recommended to run with a disconnected/broken sensor

No joke, learn grammer.

Like I told you, you need to have the wire going to the ecu shielded. Electrical noise is nothing to joke about, especially when you're talking about a knock sensor. You get noise in the system and the thing will start freaking out.

But hey, what do I know.

I would try a new one jessee a bad knock sensor would pull timing on my car, recheck the wiring, the problem probably lies there or within the ecu, remember i just had to resolder mine and no issues since.
