Knock sensor hole not there???

There is no hole for my knock sensor on my block. The previous owner had it in a hole that's next to the bottom screw on the intake manifold bracket! Wtf do I do?

It's N/T bottom end. The pad for it should be there so if you want to install it then drill/tap the KS pad on the back of the block, here's what it looks like.

Is this a joke? Why wouldn't you put the knock sensor back in the hole it came out of?

Some 1g N/T blocks didn't have a spot for the KS because the N/T don't have one.

Ill give you 2 choices

1: drill a hole in ## block and never drive it again, OR!!!

2: Put it back where you took it out of and have a running engine!!

I've never seen a nt block without a place for a knock sensor, and I've ran quite a few of them. Not saying they aren't out there, but I'm betting there is a threaded hole in the back of your block. Is it a 6-bolt? Because that is all of the nt blocks I've dealt with.

Yes 6 bolt engine and no it's not a joke I've looked all over the car and like I said the old knock sensor came out of a spot way lower on the block like right by the starter and I put a new one in there and the car isn't running the same just doesn't seem to accelerate that great past 2nd gear.

It's totally flat in that spot next to the second freeze plug

You bought a brand new knock sensor? Do you have a logger?
Tested knock sensor is worked?

Dude, just like in the other thread about this exact same thing.... take out your phone, stick your arm up in the area it should be, take a couple of pictures, post them up and then get answers. Why two threads when people are actively helping you in the other one?

Be proactive. The best answers go to the person that takes too many pictures and posts EXACTLY what he/she is trying to do.

he's new to dsm's and also new to this site

I'm sure he'll get the hang of this site real quick though
