JUST PUT 10$ OF 87(octane) IN MY BABY?!?!?!?!?!?1

So my GF's aunt gave me 10$ on her debit card, she pumped it i stood there and watched her do it and didnt realize till my girl asked after "your car cant take 87 right?!?!?!"

So i was freaking out and was driving easy had to boost once or twice and didnt notice any issues?

Could the 1/16 of my tank of 91 still be getting used cause i still have the majority of the 87 in my car?

I have my boost gauge hooked up to read the knock sensor and didnt get any knock, im also only running 10psi and have 1000cc injectors so could my tune just be so conservative it just works??

You know you put 3 gallons of 87 in the tank. Good. If you're worried about knock, don't go boosting all around town.

Worst case, you have 4 gallons of 88 in the tank.

If you're really worried about running 10psi on 88, throw a few gallons of 91 in it. If you can't afford $30 tank of gas, just park the car until you can.

To whoever called me rambo, Did I start being a dick no.. I told my problems accordingly and the mods I included were to help answer my question

And I put 91 in today actually 30$ worth..

I have my Knock CEL hooked up and got 0 knock through the 87 so just a question because someine said if I ran 10 psi is put 87 in all day can I really just do this and save this tune and boost setting for 87 octane...

I'm stil going to use 91 gas but would like to save a 87 tune If NEEDED

You should never need an 87 tune cause any gas station that is going to have 87 is going to have premium too whatever that may be where you are. If you put 87 in your car and are so worried about it, why would you beat on your car and boost it? Especially if you have your money tied up and couldn't fix whatever broke. Gotta be a little smarter than that no offense.

Actually, I stopped at a gas station in Ohio that only had 87 and E-85, not so great for a car not tuned for E-85.

Thanks everyone for the info I wasn't planning on my motor failing I was more of wondering why I did not get knock as it is true that Google is a great tool

I'm with others who don't see why this thread needs to remain open. You added not-enough-regular-to-make-a-difference, and the end result was that nothing happened. No need to create a thread over it. Really, without a log or wideband data for us to discuss exactly what is going on, this entire thread is full of guessing.

Oh and Proven Members should not be starting threads in the Newbie forum. I believe this is not the first time this has been brought to your attention.

When you want to come back with some better info as to why your car runs fine on crap gas, post a log and discuss here. No need to insult the staff members who are merely stating the obvious.
