just how fast......

this is my first time posting a thread so i will start it off with a really stupid question. at top speed just how fast will my gst spyder go? it is really important that i know. if you know... tell me.

Your car has a speed limiter that cuts you off at 130mph

my speed limiter stops me from going any faster than 125mph.

I rode on it for a few minutes and was scared out of my ballz of . .

a) dying
b) going to jail

but i did it just so i can say to myself i've been there.

the car hit 125mph and didnt even think twice about it. If the limiter wasn't there, i'm thinkin ~135mph would be top speed

my speedo is calibrated up to 80 for sure, i had it pegged at 80 w/ cruise when i went by one of those white cop boxes that tell you your speed and it was right on. I've had the needle buried right after 145 on mine once, and im not going to do it again for a long long time. everything w/ tires and rims are stock so thats not going to mess w/ it. bigger rims would be faster than speedo anyways. Is the speed cut maybe removed or is my speedo off by that much at higher speeds?

Mine was 140 and still creeping up, but I got scared and my lapse of insanity ended, so I let off the gas. That's what the speedo said anyways... sure felt like 140

Your speedo is going to be further off the faster you go because the centrifugal force of the tires spinning espands the tire itself, increasing it's outside diameter.

the top speed of a car is by no means any way to gauge how "fast" a car is. Thats what i think he is doing. I think this is a hhow fast can your car go? oh well mine can go faster. Maybe.. but if it takes you twice as long to get there.. are you really faster? Top speed means nothing.

mine is speed limited at 137mph. 135 all day long, no problem...stock drivetrain...225/40/18...like above said: h rated tires on the fwd turbo, the limiter is set around 130ish. supposidly(sp?) awd is not speed limited, came w/z rated tires.

Top out my 2G GST @132MPH and after that the fuel cuts off.
Top out my frends @G GSX @139MPH and after that the fuel cuts off.

the speedometer is preatty accurate i gotten a ticket before going 95mph and i was on a curise control when i got pooled over :thumbdown (luckyly it was in IN so he let me go w/worning)

I wonder why mine never had the 130mph limiter.......
Back when I had my T25, I could go until my speedo read 150mph. I know it's at least close to be accurate.

my fuel didn't cut off when i hit the speed limiter.

What happened was thee was a smooth acceleration all the way up to 125mph, and as soon as 125mph hit, the acceleration just stopped and the car cruised there unless i let off the gas.
