Your not to far from me LOL if you want it seriously we can probably work out a small deal. I am looking for anything to better my 2G so pm me if your interested...

Yeah, true, it's only like 4 hours away. But transferring titles from ohio to kentucky is a horrible process. I got screwed moving here from dayton (or brookville) when I transferred everything over. I hate kentucky.

Like everyone esle is saying I'd look on here for a 6b short block or check with the vendors. Then just put it in and drill out your head and put it together. It's is alot of work but the best way to learn is to do it and if you run into something you need help with come here and ask, there is tons of knowledge on here.

well what would be the easiest and on money just to get the car running good?

EASIEST thing to do to get the car running is to find a low mile totaled gst or gsx on craigslist and buy the entire longblock. I've seen 7 bolt long blocks with under 80k miles sell for around 400 dollars. This way you don't have to build anything or do any advanced mechanic work. Just pull your motor and drop the new one in, but of course make sure you can hear it run in the donor car and check compression etc before you buy.

BEST way to fix it is to build a BRAND NEW 6 bolt block using your 7 bolt head.

Halfassed way is to buy a used 6 bolt that you have no idea how hard has been beaten on, what condition the bearings are in, oil pump condition, and even worse most of the time it's already out of the car and you can't check compression.

In my opinion I'd not worry about crankwalk for now, buy a complete 7 bolt longblock out of a donor and get familiar with your car putting it in and as you have money piece together a strong 6 bolt for when you want to make real power, or worst case, your "new" 7 bolt crankwalks.

Don't hate on Kentucky, I like the peacefulness. Your right though, even though we don't have emissions testing the laws can get kind of out of hand.

Get you another 7bolt swap it in and move on. Im for 7 bolts all day. Besides swapping in the 6bolt isn't hard but when your not familar with it you will run into problems. One which isn't a biggie but you will get random misfire codes unless youu have dsm link.

Even though theres a shop in Cali that has a new complete 6bolt long block specifically for a 2g so you don't have to cut and rewire the CAS but it runs for like around $2500.

I really can't hate. The people are nice. Uh. That's about it for that list lets go to the cons. The people are slow; they don't know how to drive; there is no form of drivers training; they make you pay stupid taxes; they raise the alcohol and tobacco tax although KY is the leading supplier of tobacco and bourbon (they do this for all the dry counties <- pointless make em wet); the cops are ridiculous here pulling you over for stupid stuff like a license plate light being out; the cops in bowling green think they live in mayberry; the news will not tell you about crime in the city; the Western Kentucky University president covers up shot's being fired when over 400 911 calls came in about a shots being fired; the cops shoot themselves; the cops kill a college girl and get away with it (for speeding downtown without the blue lights on); think i am going to stop before I decide to start packing and move back to the slums of dayton.
