I never posted a shot of the front of the car with the bumper back on. install pics were posts 187 and 188. Still might cut the black trim off.

I just got mine installed but I haven't done the piping yet. I trimmed off half of the black trim. I didn't trim it all off because the intercooler wouldn't fill up the entire gap if I did. Picture is kinda crappy because of the glare of the sun.

Lee, I was going to cut the trimming off also but I saw that if I did then the top of the FMIC would be exposed. Does yours sit higher?
Nah, I was so obsessed with keeping my fog lights I couldn't get it to sit high enough where I could loose the black trim. I'll probably just trim part of the black like ^ he did. Looks good!

i say cut it all off regardless to get more air in under the hood.

the bottom line is you can either stand in front of the car and look at a black plastic bar (the trim), or stand in front of the car and look at a black empty bar (the gap left from removing the trim).

yeah or just do what ive been doing for the past couple weeks and drive around with no fascia at all. you get to show off your shiny new ... "hey is that a radiator?"

LOL

that's what i'll end up doing for about a week when it comes time to do my fmic, as i wont' have time to do it in one sitting. I was wonering how legal it is to do that, but if you're doin it i suppose i can too.

the only thing not legal about it is my side marker lights are just dangling, but no worries

im pretty sure its all legal as long as you have your support on there, otherwise i would imagine you would get snagged up by the first popo that passed you by

I drove around without the front bumper either for a couple of days. I thought it looked pretty cool. :p

I just ordered one myself yesterday. 8" version.

Does anyone know what state Johnnyracecar is located?

I cant get my car out until spring but I wanted to get the good price before it goes up.

Okay guys I routed all my IC pipes tonight. So check out my awesome pictures, i guess if your a imagestation member, i dont know much about image hosting, if there is a better site, tell me about it. but if you get to see the pics, you wont be disappointed.

tell me what you think. and i mean the intercooler :talon:

Man, you're gonna slam that lower pipe into a speed bump or something in the road and be fawked. Why did you rougt it under the cross member? Looks great besides that routing though.

Also, where can I find something like the anewjess photo :p

Has anyone tried to fit the IC inlet pipe with an External WG like this one? Just wondering if Im gonna have some clearance issues using the short route method.

thats wat i thought.. the piping looks good but the routing is questionable.. looks awfully low and will be prone to hitting bumps and what not..

its not as low as it looks, the front fascia sits a half inch lower then the pipe does. its just the angle that makes it look so low. also my intercooler is mounted a little higher then most of yours so that also makes the pipe look a lot lower. and, look how far away my ic pipe is from my exhust manifold/turbo. on your cars that pipe being so close, heats it up real nice, kind of defeating the purpose. mine stays nice and cool. but like i said, its up higher then the fascia. do i scrape the fascia on speed bumps? no. so will the pipe hit the ground? no
