JDM 2.o NA, Trouble starting when cold

I had a 2L NA from japan put in my car, less then 50,000k on it original spark plugs/ wires , the mechanic took the EGR valve off because he said it robed power but other then that everything is same but when its cold in the morinings the engine is always hard to start but once it warms up its fine, what could be the problem?

Where did you order the jdm, how much did you pay?

Cold starting could be many things, fuel delivery or ignition.
