This is probably sounds like a stupid ?. I have a customers car here for some work and I’m looking at the the installation of the kit. It looks like only only 1 1/2 shaft bolt is installed , more specifically the bracket that bolts to the block looks like it obstructs one of the 1/2 shaft bracket bolts, only allowing for one bolt. I know I’m my 1g this isn’t a issue. Am I hallucinating?

If I’m picking up this thread correctly the 1g and 95-96 2g half shafts bolt right up to the bracket that goes on the block. 97-99 half shaft will need an extra tapped M10x1.25 hole drilled into the jays bracket along with a spacer to match the thickness of the 97-99 AC bracket. Pictured is a cut down 97-99 AC bracket showing the extra tapped hole for the half shaft bracket. The stock Mitsu 97-99 AC bracket is .785 thick and the jays bracket is .500 thick, so a .285 spacer is needed to fill the gap. If this isn’t your issue I apologize.

I use the outer water pump pulley i have a manual rack. I just used that works so far, i just installed it last night.

The pulley one farthers from the block, one belt waterpump, alt, and crank pulley its shold be fairly easy to see.

I have the dayco 5040410 and it says it’s shorter then the belt you referenced yet the one I have is too long by about an inch unless I’m feeding it wrong
I use a Dayco 5040320 for the harmonic balancer to outer water pump pulley and just cranked the engine over to get it on, i have a pic somewhere on my phone of the harmonic balancer to alternator belt somewhere, ill see if i can find the part number

That was a belt I had with my relocation kit box, I suppose it could be wrong.

I did however take the belt off my car very recently to get a backup and this is what the local parts store said I had doing a direct comparison.
