ITM water pump

Is anyone using this water pump ? If so have you had any problems with it ?would you recommend it ?

Never personally used ITM water pumps, but have used their lash adjusters and timing belt (and other belts). No problems with those whatsoever. Just my 3 cents.

I haven't used ITM yet as my motor hasn't turned over for the first time yet. Auto store brand water pumps are usually fine to get and you don't need to spend the extra for an OEM replacement. It's not too critical of a part if failure would happen unlike with the oil pump.

Save the money and get it.

Yeah, it's not a critical part in the event of a failure! ... Save for if you're doing 75 on the freeway, and it gives out, and you don't notice it till... BOOM.

I've used two ITM water pumps. One on my old 97 7 bolt GST and now on my 99 7 bolt GSX. No problems here.

Bruce at Parts Dinosaur is AWESOME. I've given that guy too much of my money.

I guess you didn't understand what I meant by that.

If the pump goes you ether stop circualting coolant or you have a leak. Both of which you would be able to stop from major damage happening once you saw what was going on.

If your oil pump went, well, you are screwed to say the least and the damage would be done almost instantly.

Hence why I said "it's not too critical..."

Im throwing one in on my 6 bolt rebuild, and the only difference than stock in the impeller design. Its still metal, and looks even better than stock if anything. IMO i would get the parts dino deal like i did!
