Hi i have a Mitsubishi Eclipse 1997 gst. The problem started happening when i didn't drive the car for a week, it was sitting outside and it was raining a lot. Okay so i get 3 different codes now. P0105-MAP sensor, P0100-MAF sensor, and P0110-IAT sensor. But i already changed MAP and MAF sensors to another used ones. Also had a mechanic checked out all the leaks he did not find any..

So yeah i replaced that MAF and it ran the same is it did with the old one so swap them back. And the problem is with my car when the MAF is connected it runs good at neutral but when i accelerate to about 2-3k rpm, and it right away drops to like 500 or even less, and after that sputters and jumps again to 3k or so feels like cylinders not working normally but doesn't show a code or anything.

But when the MAF is not connected it runs almost good, just doesn't keep up on neutral looks like it wants to just shut off. So i don't know if i should try buying a new MAF again, maybe it just happened to be that the one i bought is bad too. Or just try to replace the ECU?

Pull the ecu, it takes 15 minutes. Open it up and inspect it for bad capacitors or fried grounds. It sounds weird to me that all 3 of those things would pop up at once. They are all on the same driver if I'm not mistaken. Google bad driver dsm ecu for comparison when you open yours up.

Those codes are for the MAF, IAT, and Baro sensors. There's no MAP on your engine, it's an MDP sensor used for emissions.

Regardless, all those sensors are located in the MAF unit itself. If a new MAF didnt solve the issue, then check the wiring and connector themselves. I'd suspect a shorted power wire or broken ground.

Have you reset the codes since you replaced the MAF?

MAF sensor
"Backprobe terminal 4 of the connector with the positive probe of the voltmeter and connect the negative to the ground. Turn the key to on but do not start the engine if the voltemeter does not read around 12v. If so check the circuit back to the MFI relay and fusible link.

Backprobe terminal 3, it should read 4.8-5.2v with the key on. If not check the circuit to the ECU.

Backprobe terminal 5 with an ohmmeter and measure the resistance. It should be less than 2 ohms. If not, check the circuit from terminal 5 back to ground.

If none of the above work, the MAS or ECU is dead. Replace it." -crimsondragon

You need to check circuits before you start throwing money. Otherwise you can buy as many sensor's and Ecu's you want and not fix anything...

Yes i did reset the codes, and sometimes it pops up with all three, and sometimes with only one P0110-IAT sensor..[DOUBLEPOST=1414457125][/DOUBLEPOST]By the way thank you guys for the advices, I'll try look in to it and tell you the results.

I would say definitely the ECU. Had basically the same issue and it ended up being the ECU.

My maf used to go nuts in the rain... if its the ecu, send it out to tom at ecmlink. hell have it fixed in no time.

Yeah i will try on checking ECU, and maybe then changing it.

And it is bad not only in the rain, just something happened after
