just a quick question. my friends 2nd gen isc went bad on him. i have an extra one off of my 1g. i looked around for them, and it shows that 91-99 are the same, but my 90 won't be compatible. is this true? or it could be used on his car?

all replies are appreciated.
thanks

bah, if you ask me you dont need one. I just unlugged mine and turned down my idle (via the biss screw) and I have a perfect rock steady idle. Just my .02

You sure about that? I think the ISC compensates the idle for when you pump the a/c or other stuff that would affect idle. I did unplug my ISC and the idle when to 1400rpm, instead of its usual crappy dying-ness...maybe Ill just keep the ISC unplugged and change the idle. Should I just remove it and put a plate where it was, or just unplug it?

Yeah I think it does compensate for the extra load of running the AC, but I took my AC out so I wouldn't really know =) Adjust your biss screw to lower your idle down from 1400 and see what happens...my car seems to run really nice but it might not be the case for yours. You can at least run it like this until you can find a new/rebuilt ISC to install.
