Is this wire supposed to go somewhere?

So I was installing a Fluidampr because my harmonic balancer came apart and I noticed there is a wire coming off the alternator harness that goes up behind the power steering pump that is either white or yellow that looks like it was cut off at some point. Anybody know what I should do with it?

Its either you're oil pressure gauge wire, or you're low oil pressure sender wire!
Does you're stock oil pressure gauge work? If so then its you're low oil pressure sender wire, which you dont really need, cause they really dont ever read right, or really benefit anything! The low oil sender is designed to kick on your oil light, when it reads low oil, or low oil pressure.

No no no, that is for your power steering; it tells the ECU to bump up the idle a little if the wheels are being turned. But only at idle. Look at the front of your P/S pump for a little nipple more towards the pulley side on the bottomish. Its not necessary, but if u wish to hook it back up; so be it.

I havent had problem/seen any difference with it hooked up or not.

I agree. Power steering wire. Thing is a pain in the butt when the wires become all brittle over the years.
